Philips SpeechLive - Desktop app not uploading dictations automatically

Philips SpeechLive - Desktop app not uploading dictations automatically

Issue

Philips SpeechLive Desktop App isn't automatically uploading dictations into Philips SpeechLive when digital voice recorder is plugged in.

Resolution

Occasionally, the Desktop App can reset certain settings when there has been an update. These are very easy to set up again, taking only a few minutes.
Firstly, check that the Philips SpeechLive Desktop App is running on your PC.
  1. In your PC taskbar, click the upwards arrow and see if the L icon is appearing
  2. If not running in the taskbar, open the Desktop App manually by searching for it in the search bar of your PC or double clicking the icon on your desktop

If, once you've logged into the Desktop App, it is still not uploading automatically, check the settings are configured properly to the device
  1. Click the burger menu icon
  2. Go down to Upload from device/folder
  3. Click select folder to choose the device drive name e.g. D:\ - Please note: the device must be plugged in to be selected
  4. Switch on Automatic upload and Delete after upload
  5. We recommend also switching on Autostart with Windows and Minimize to tray. These ensure the app starts when you log in each time, and that it runs in the background without having to be opened every time you plug in the device

The Desktop app should now automatically upload any dictations on the device and remove after upload. They will then show in your dictation list when you log onto https://app.speechlive.com/ on your web browser.
