Philips SpeechLive: Dictations not playing back in the web browser

If you're trying to play dictations using Philips SpeechLive in your web browser, and are encountering an error, this is often due to cache memory errors. There are various different steps to resolve this outlined below.

After trying each step below, sign out of SpeechLive, quit your browser and try again. If you're still having an issue, restart your PC. 

Deleting your cache, cookies and history

  1. Sign out of SpeechLive
  2. Go to the three dots in the top right hand corner of your web browser
    1. On Google Chrome, then click 'Delete browsing data'
      1. Select 'All time' from the dropdown, and all tickboxes
      2. Click 'Delete data'
    2. On Microsoft Edge, click 'Settings'
      1. Click 'Privacy, search and services'
      2. Under Delete browsing data, click 'Choose what to clear'
      3. Select All Time and all options, then 'Clear now'
  3. Close and restart your browser
  4. Go to https://app.speechlive.com/
  5. Sign back in

Resetting your browser

You may need to reset your browser to remove cache, cookies etc and reset any extensions
  1. Sign out of SpeechLive
  2. Go to the three dots in the top right hand corner of your web browser
  3. Got to Settings
    1. On Google Chrome, click 'Reset settings'
      1. Click 'Restore settings to their original defaults'
      2. Click 'Restore'
    2. On Microsoft Edge, click 'Reset settings'
      1. Click 'Restore settings to their default values'
      2. Click 'Reset'
  4. Close and restart your browser
  5. Ensure your Philips Device Connector browser extension is switched on (either click the puzzle piece icon in the top right hand corner, or go to Extensions via the three dots.
  6. Go to https://app.speechlive.com/
  7. Sign back in

Deleting browser blob storage

If the problem still persists, the following options should solve the issue:
  1. Delete the temporary files and folders in the browser blob storage
    1. If using Google Chrome, the full path to the blob storage folder under Chrome: C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Dev\User Data\Default\blob_storage
    2. If using Microsoft Edge, the full path to the blob storage under Edge: C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\blob_storage
